The Bayport-Blue Point School District has partnered with Long Island-based tech giant Future Tech Enterprise, Inc. to support the next chapter of the schools’ “Thinking Forward” vision plan.

Working in tandem, the district will benefit from the globally recognized, full-service IT solution provider’s expertise as it develops plans for its next-generation classrooms and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) initiatives. In the coming months, the company will aid in the redesign of those classrooms targeted to house the new computer science and engineering programs (beginning in 2015-16) at Bayport-Blue Point High School.

The partnership, valued at $250,000, will continue over the next five years, during which the company has vowed to provide technology consulting, design/implementation support and services. Additionally, Future Tech will play an integral role in facilitating meetings between the district and public and private parties with a desire to donate support for future enhancements.

Launched in 2014, BBP’s Thinking Forward is comprised of four overarching components – Learning, Connections, Environment and Pathways – and is geared toward enhancing educational opportunities for all scholars.
