April 18, 2008 HOLBROOK, NY --- Larry Zafrin has joined Future Tech Enterprise, Inc. as Director of Sales and New Business Development, taking over the role previously held by Bob Venero, president and CEO of the 12-year-old Long Island-based company.
Mr. Zafrin, a Bellmore, NY resident, will be responsible for expanding and fortifying an internal sales team comprised of regional and national account representatives. The team will handle the IT solutions needs of local accounts that include Eastern Suffolk BOCES, the NY Islanders, Keyspan and Good Samaritan Hospital; they will also interact with Future Tech’s key international partners that include Dell, HP, IBM, Brother, CA, Lenovo and Cisco, among many others.
Mr. Zafrin’s experience spans a wide range of roles in managing internal and external teams at IBM. He began his career as a Systems Engineer and worked his way up the ranks to a Business Unit Sales Executive, managing a team of CRM/E-Business Sales Specialists in the northeast. After that, he held various business development positions with Israeli Technology Partners doing business in the U.S., venture capital companies, and his most recent position, RSI Channels Sales Executive in Global Technology Services. In Mr. Zafrin’s RSI Channels role, he created a number of joint value go-to-market offerings with Future Tech Enterprise, Inc.
Mr. Zafrin has supported IBM clients in the insurance, retail, transportation, aerospace and computer services industries. His combination of leadership skills, positive attitude and ability to motivate his team has helped him consistently deliver successful business results. In addition to a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Zafrin holds numerous awards for his leadership and successes, including recognition for often exceeding sales goals from 130 to 150% at IBM.
