Bob Venero Recognized at LIBN's "40 Under 40" Alumni Awards

Future Tech CEO Named Salutatorian of the Class of 2004

HOLBROOK, NY - June 18, 2009 - Future Tech CEO Bob Venero will be recognized at Long Island Business News' (LIBN) "40 Under 40" Alumni Awards and Networking Party, an event created to recognize the top achievers among all of the previous "40 Under 40" classes over the past 10 years.

Mr. Venero was inducted into "40 Under 40" in 2004 and was commended for the growth of his company, Future Tech Enterprise Inc., which he founded in 1996 in the basement of his home. Today, Future Tech is a $100 million information technology company with partners that include HP, Dell, Cisco, IBM, and many other well-known OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

Each year since 1998 LIBN has introduced 40 of Long Island's best and brightest in the business community and recognized their accomplishments, their drive to succeed and their commitment to making Long Island a better place in which to live and do business. In addition to that criteria, recipients must be under the age of 40.

This year, in honor of the award's 10th anniversary, LIBN is recognizing those "40 Under 40" alumni who exemplify excellence, have risen to the top in their careers, made their business successful, and continue to dedicate time and service to Long Island's community needs. The award celebration will feature Valedictorian and Salutatorian awardees from previous years as well. The event takes place on June 23rd at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage, and tickets are available through www.libn.com .

Mr. Venero has taken Future Tech Enterprise from a start-up company in his basement to a market-leading IT solution provider offering cutting edge technology to companies worldwide. Mr. Venero takes an active leading role in the community, participating in initiatives such as Future Tech's Change for Change effort and founding The Bob Venero Children's Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the health, welfare, and happiness of children through innovative technologies. In addition to his business and community involvement, Mr. Venero serves on several business advisory boards, among them Good Samaritan Hospital, LI Angel Network, LISTnet, AERTC, CEWIT, and Suffolk County Workforce Investment Board.
