Future Tech Enterprise, Inc. Announces New Intern John Monastero

 

HOLBROOK, NY - Dec 1st, 2009 - Future Tech Enterprise, Inc. has announced that Stony Brook resident and Ward Melville High School graduate John Monastero has joined the company as a Marketing and Public Relations intern.   

Mr. Monastero is currently in his senior year at Stony Brook University, where he is majoring in history and minoring in business.  A 2006 graduate of Ward Melville who was a member of the high school jazz band and Tri-M music honor society, Mr. Monastero brings past marketing experience to Future Tech by way of a summer internship at Special Ops Media in New York City. At Special Ops Media he used social media tools and assisted the business development department with several marketing campaigns.

At Stony Brook University, Mr. Monastero is active in many community service groups, such as Leadership and Service Council and OXFAM.  He has also worked at the university’s Career Center, where he assisted students with their professional development initiatives. At Future Tech, Mr. Monastero will be able to apply his knowledge of marketing and professional skills to create a new foundation that will guide him to his professional career post graduation.  His responsibilities will be to assist the director of marketing and public relations, Catherine Calame, also an alumna of SUSB, in supporting the sales team.  This includes creation of sales packets for individual clients, writing and designing the corporate newsletter, writing and distributing press releases, and developing Intranet and Web site content to effectively reach target audiences.
